Setting Up Dividend Cut Alerts

Get an email when a stock shows signs of dividend risk or a company you hold cuts its dividend

Get an email when a stock on your watchlist is downgraded or its score drops, and when a company you hold cuts or suspends its dividend. Email alerts are an Income Investor Pro feature.

How to Enable Alerts

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications
  2. Switch on "Enable Email Alerts". On the Free plan the switch is locked and the page shows an upgrade link.
  3. Pick the alert types you want (below). Each one is a separate checkbox and works on its own.
  4. Choose how score alerts arrive: Individual emails or one Daily Digest
  5. Click Save Preferences

Alert Types

  • Rating Downgrades: a stock on your watchlist moves to a worse color (for example GREEN → YELLOW)
  • Significant Score Drops: a watchlist stock's score falls by at least the number of points you set (default: 10)
  • New Risk Flags: the rules-based score flags a new risk on a watchlist stock
  • Dividend Cut Alerts: a company you hold in your portfolio cuts or suspends its dividend. This one is separate from New Risk Flags: turning one off does not turn the other off.

How Alerts Are Delivered

Individual emails sends each score alert as its own email, in the daily batch. Daily Digest sends one summary email per day. This choice covers the first three alert types. Dividend cut alerts are always sent as their own email.
